Washington state:
I designed a consumer tips and info website. I took a photo of a person who owns a business in Oregon. I have written some articles about his business and some of the bad things he does. Can I use the photo that I took on the website? Can he make me take it off? I super imposed it on a cartoon body so only his face shows but it is very obviously him. I see on some TV shows that they black out peoples' faces but I have not seen that on the Internet so am convused about if I can use this or not.
THANKS!
The website is www.appliancesportland.com and the photo is of the owner of Standard TV & Appliance and title says "King Of Bait & Switch" in case anyone is interested.

Thanks to everyone for all the responses. Great help! I guess I get what I pay for.
I was just getting ready to respond to your questions.... then saw that you are a pushy, arrogant SOB.
So, I am moving on to someone who might actually appreciate the COURTESY of my assistance.
Have a hap-hap-happy day!!

thanks anyway

I think 3 months of waiting without any reply entitles me to a tongue in cheek remark and I even ended it with a "get what I pay for" comment to let people with half a brain know that my comments were light hearted in spirit. If you cannot figure that out then I highly doubt that any information you would have posted would have been helpful or accurate. Oh well, at least it's good to see that someone at least read the posting. I truthfully didn't know that there were Internet connections that high up in the Ozarks. Now leave me alone and get back to your banjo practice.

I hadn't noticed your post dates, and that is my fault. However, your response just reinforces my post. This is a FREE legal advice forum where WE chose to respond, or not. You are not ENTITLED to a response.

And, regretably for you, you will never know.... huh??

Actually, once your 'momma' started posting her pictures on the internet, they were pretty quick to run internet up to the mountains. :D

Now leave me alone and get back to your banjo practice.
Gladly. Ever since they discovered oil on some of my lower acreage, I have enough time to play the banjo.... or any other instrument I want.

Don't worry about taking the time to reply. I am sure you are really busy stocking the shelves at that 7-11..... or getting those fries out at McDonalds. :D

His original thread was on 12-22-2004, 12:14 PM. However the people who choose to volunteer their time to respond to threads, aren't obligated to anyone as to which ones they choose. The poster didn't get an answer and is mad about it. Too bad.

Hey .... you got me there. Sorry ... my bad. Thanks for catching that. I will reword my last post:

"I think 1 1/2 months of waiting without any reply entitles me to a tongue in cheek remark and I even ended it with a "get what I pay for" comment to let people with half a brain know that my comments were light hearted in spirit.

I am sure that you have a lot of other posts to go through and correct today so I hope so I am really sorry for taking your time by exaggerating on the dates. You are a very good citizen. You remind me somewhat of my first wife. Strangely my first wife comes to mind. She never had real answers or solutions but that never stopped her from bitching. She never had the brains to solve problems so she would look for spelling errors or things like that. I think she is now a volunteer crossing guard at a suburban junior hish school.
