I had a dinner party at my house in which my cousin got drunk and assaulted both my boyfriend and I. At the time the police came, I would not press charges because he is 'family.'

Since that happened, he has been threatening me because I am still dating my boyfriend and he IS pressing charges. I am also going to testify on my boyfriends behalf in the case.

My cousin refuses to take responsibility for his actions and has blamed everyone else for what happened. In addition, he owe's me money for a car that he bought from me.

Is it too late for me to press charges based on his threats and behavior toward me and my property?

I've never had to deal with this type of thing before and I'm really feeling screwed at this point.

Help!

You could press charges, but you'd be even harder pressed to make them stick now. as for the car/truck.....that is why we have small claims courts.
