What is the name of your state?MA

I am curious to the laws that protect me from a co-worker who is threatening what I believe to be slander. This woman is unhappy in the workplace and thinking about leaving and said when she does she is "going to badmouth everyone here" as well as threats of "I will take everyone here down and make them pay." I am the mother of three small children and worry that this woman could affect my reputation in the community and do damage to the clientele that I have worked for the past ten years to service and maintain. Am I right to be concerned or should I just chalk it up to sour grapes?

Being concerned is prudent, but unless or until she actually does something you might as well not worry yourself into a lather.
