What is the name of your state?alabama
my husbands son has been into trouble lately. His mother does not keep him in line. she says he does no wrong. he is 16 and was cought sneaking in the poolhouse of a 14 yearold girl who was meeting him there ran into the woods when the father caught him. The police had to get him out. The parents of the girl did not press charges. My stepson can not live with us because he is possibly facing prosecution for messing with my dauther. even thought my husband does not have physical custody he has joint legal custody. He feels like someone needs to teach him a lesson (read my other story sbplost) or he is going to get even into more trouble. He has already gotton a speeding ticket going 85mph and has had 3 wrecks. My question is, is there anything he can do since he has joint legal custody??? by the way, we are grasping at straws because the law enforcement where he lives is not worth a crap. so if there is anything we can do I want legal facts to back me up.

You have a duty to protect your daughter. (That's a legal fact.)

Keep that boy away from your place.
