My wife just went to a dentist here in
Redding California last week.Medical/Dent-
i-cal insurance is paying the tab.Anyway,
the dentist done two or three root-canal's,
and while drilling out the last mollar,he
slipped and broke off the tip of his tita-
nium drill bit.He probed and dug, but to no avail,he lodged the piece tightly into her
tooth.Finaly,he told my wife the delema as
he filled the tooth in,barrieing the evide-
nce into her mollar!
Now,she's haveing loads of pain in her jaw
and stemming from that back mollar. We have'nt
got a second opinion(medicaly),but haveing
underwent some dentistry in my time,I don't believe that this dentist was done with the
medical procedure before he closed up.Do we
have a case with this epasode.Could any of
this be grounds for a financial law-suit in-
which my wife could be paid for her continued
pain, suffering, and costs due this delema ?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Let's put it this way: I don't think that having a piece of a drill lodged into my tooth at the end of the session is something I consider normal.

ASAP go seek medical attention so the pain doesn't worsen and the derivative problems don't worsen.

Then, take the new exam's record/conclusions by doctor and take to a medical malpractice attorney.
