What is the name of your state? Ohio Can I sue my exhusband for credit cards he racked up in my name before the divorce even though the judge ordered each of us to pay what ever was each od our names.
I never worked, nor do I have any money now to pay. I only get a social security check each month, no other money, the judge knew this but told me to pay anyway,
I wonder with what? I had nothing then and still dont. and wont I am 61 and no money.
The amount exhusband racked up in my name was $40,000 I cant pay
Can I go back and sue my ex? I have no money to file bankruptcy I bareley can buy food.

My response:

Nope. That is issue was already adjudicated by a court of law - - which is now called "res judicata." So, if you were to sue him on this matter, the court would dismiss your lawsuit on those grounds.

Either pay the debt as previously ordered, or file Bankruptcy.
