can I sue for defimation and slander against my brother

My brother admitted to calling the department of social services on me saying that I was abuseing my daughter age 6 and neglecting her and said that i was useing drugs I am going through a very hard time right now with them I have agreed to take a drug test for them but they are saying they want to remove my daughter from me this has caused so much stress on me that I have had a severe asthma attack from all this now when I do take that drug test for them and when it comes back to be negative can I then sue my brother for defimation slander and emotional upset?
