My late hubby's parents filed for guardianship of my 2 children. They made false allegations about me without any proof what so ever. I felt that I had no other choice but to seek legal representation. At the ex-parte for guardianship hearing the judge basically told them no proof/no case. We were suppose to go back to court for the temporary guardianship hearing on 1/28, however on 1/25 their atty. sent my atty. the papers for dismissal of the entire case. My question is... can I sue them for my legal fees? If so can anyone tell me where to start? I would appreciate any and all advice. Thanks in advance. BTW I live in California.
