What is the name of your state? Illinois.
I hired web developer to make my website in Engilsh and Japanese. I accidently broke it after she installed and we decided making two site for each language. English and Japanese. (I'm Japanese.) So I purchased her service one more.
She's never finished and finally I contacted the company what's going on.
I was told she was passed away by car accident. After that, someone tried to finish the site but it's never done. I emailed them and asked them finish.
Few days ago, I found the lady is still alive. They were just cheating on me.
So I asked them to refund even one site fee I paid. (because one site was fixed by new developer.) And recieved email was,
"Look, you're either clueless, or just plain dumb. If you'd answer
questions once in a while, and stop moving things and stop breaking
things people would be more eager to help you. But you're not, you're
hard to understand, talk in jibberish, and well, just plain out rude."
If my English was hard to understand I refered my partner, who's native English, to contact.
I wanted to get back money. At this point, I want to sue her as Defamation. Can I do that?
Thank you for your help.
