Hello first time visiting this forum. I am from Illinois. I bought a boat about two months ago for 3500. It’s a used boat obviously but the seller told me it runs perfect and due to the weather at the time I could not test the boat . I took the boat out and it has mechanical issues possibly to the point of being not worth fixing . I was wondering if I have any upper hand in this issue or am I out of my money. I did not sign any bill of sale saying it was as is. I also did not sign the title over to myself. Thanks in advance for any information.

Used boats, like used cars are sold AS IS with no warranties or guarantees no matter what you sign or don't sign. Not transferring the title doesn't do anything for you. That you didn't test the boat before buying puts you in the same position as people who buy cars without checking them out first.

Sorry, but you have no hand at all.
