If someone in Florida is doing major renovations to there home (and were when they obtained the insurance) Can the insurance company drop them because the outside of there house still looks bad but, generally speaking, is in good repair?

**It happened to us. The insurance agent didn't even get out of his car. I watched him pull up, write something down and drive away. We received a notice of cancelation with re-imbursement check. We even told them that we were in process of re-siding ect... he never even saw the inside which we had almost completed.

**We renovated, and have been insured with a different company for over 17 years. I will not even consider giving the other insurance company another shot with us. Their loss.

Fix the outside before teh final termination date and then call and ask for a reinspection. This is done all the time.

It is done all the time. The sad thing is that companies look at the outside of properties to determine what the housekeeping is like on the inside too.
