What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

Hello, I'm currently on medicaid, and will NOT be renewing this coming September, but at the same time I will be receiving a decent amount of money from a relative in a few days possibly. Would there be anyway medicaid can spot this transaction or money sitting in my account, and say, we want this money because you are currently on medicaid(even though they haven't paid for anything in the past year). Is that a possibility, or not even worth the thought? Thanks.

No, if Medicaid made note of that money, and they might not if you are not reapplying, the would only deny your reapplication. Since you do not intend to reapply, it should be a non-issue.

Now, there could be some exceptions to that. For example, if you scheduled surgery while you were on Medicaid but well after you knew that you would be receiving a substantial inheritance that could be an issue.
