I'm planning on filing bankruptcy-mostly due to medical debt-but I also owe $4,000 to a technical school. The money is owed directly to the school-THIS IS NOT A STUDENT LOAN. I withdrew 7 weeks into an 18 mo. program, and when I told them I was withdrawing, they informed me that they hadn't submitted my financial aid paperwork yet so I had no money from grants to apply to the amount and I didn't have a student loan. I know that student loans can't be included when filing for bankruptcy, but could I include this since the debt is owed directly to the school?
