I sign his name on 2 checks he stop payment on 1 and the other went through. I have signed his name many times throughout our 16 yrs of marriage. Now he is trying to get me on forgery and fraud ?

If he feels a crime has been committed he's free to make a complaint. Whether or not criminal charges will follow, we cannot say for sure.

Are you in the midst of a divorce or separated? If so, then you would not have had his permission to sign his name. Therefore you have committed a crime. You would need to prepare yourself if he files a criminal complaint and the prosecutor pursues charges. For what did you sign his name? Was it to cover his bills or yours?
