My father was visiting my sister, and his landlord removed all his belongings from the house. My father signed a lease agreement that stated after 10 days of non payment of rent, his stuff would be removed. It was at 16 days the landlord removed his stuff. Even though this was signed, can his landlord legally do this?

Check your state laws.

In California, he can declare the property to be abandoned if no one is there after 14 days with rent unpaid.
