What is the name of your state? California
I was informed by my school that my subsidized loans were being adjusted due to my attaining CA resident status. They want me to repay the loans, and suggest taking subsidized loans. I wasn't informed that I had to be paying out of state fees in order to accept the loan, and when I applied to school I always indicated I was living in CA. Do I have any recourse to get these first 2 semesters of subsidized loans about $7k allowed to continue as advertised until I finish school, or can they just say I should have made more of an effort to tell them that I was a resident? I feel they should have made more of an effort to tell me I was mistakenly considered out of state prior to my accepting these loans.
Thanks a bunch for any advice!
