I Live in Illinois. My uncle's friend sold me a car for $2500. I paid him $1000 at the time I drove off with the car.I later paid him $500. We agreed he was going to take a laptop for $600. Later he refused the laptop that it was not part of the deal. He wanted the balance of $900. Later, he told me he incurred some fees for selling me the car that amounted to $325. I has a problem with it and didn't make any further payments. He asked me if he could keep the car until we could resolve the issue. since he was a friend to my uncle I did. Remember that he gave me a bill of sale which clearly stated that "$2500 With No Taxes". I also have the title of the car. I got my uncle involved and he said he needs $400 and is going to keep the laptop. He then later changed his mind that he didn't owe me any maoney or a car and that he just sole the car. I never had any notice from him. He also claims to have a dealership lisence. I want to take him to court is that a good idea?
