What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

Can a Stepmom be put on the stand to answer questions about how her role with children?

Is a depsition better than waiting for court testimony? The other lawyer actually asks useless filibuster type questions in order to frustrate judge and make court room time longer than reasonably different. For example witnesses are asked to read whole documents into the record because it is known that many other professionals are sitting outside waiting to testify on the child's behalf and they are charging by the hour.

Or will the depositions cost me more?

(Yes we are trying to get transcripts as they make a good book/movie as this lawyer knows all the tricks)

Judges get a glazed look and sometimes I think they fall asleep with this nonsense.

I am in an out of court at least every 4 to 6 months on some sort of unneccessary motion. Never the same Judge.

This will be a new motion. The last court order got the children counseling and one child is talking like a parrot and CPS is already investigating. Child has been threatened if they continue to talk. CPS unfortunately wants proof of harm (like after they are harmed) and have no idea of the past history of violence in another state.

One step at a time.

Please pray and/or send good thoughts to a very courageous kid.

Peace
