Hi, during the last 2 years I worked first year as a consultant (for the agency, W-2 form paycheck) and then as a "Temp" employee for the state institution (W-2 form paycheck again). Eventually project was canceled and I found myself with no job and no pay although formally employed. After a month I quit and started looking full time for a job.
Can I claim unemployment?
Thanks for any advice,
Willy.

Why ask? Just do it. Unemployment will let you know if you qualify or not. When anyone losses a job, the very first thing they should do the next day is apply for unemployment benefits -- there are time limit on filing so don't waste any time.
