What is the name of your state? Florida
I received a call from my tenant today that had relatives visiting for Thanksgiving. My tenants were left with the visitors dog while out shopping. My lease states no pets and was never asked permission. My tenant opened the door to go outside and the bulldog slipped out and ran out into the street just as a kid on a motorcycle was coming down the street. The kid locked up his brakes and went down. I wasn't there but was told he had minor scratches but after getting an estimate on his bike, he wanted 500 dollars from my tenant for repairs. My question is this.. Can he come after me for damages if the tenants don't pay?

of course he can come after you after all, anybody can sue just about anybody.

Would you be liable for the debt? no.

Thanks. I didn't intend to come across ignorant. Our society is sue happy and will go after anyone. The liability issue was my intended question. Thanks again!
