What is the name of your state?TENNESSEE--The SSA got a judgement against me and my son for overpayments they decided I owed them, before my claim was decided and settled. They got our 2004 tax refund check on Feb.16,2005,my claim was ruled fully favorable for me on July 6,2005,the judge ruled I was disable from May-2000 from now on. The SSA hasn't sent back our tax refund money, they haven't contacted me at all, and I've called them over a dozen times about our refund, but no one knows or can tell me anything about it.What do I need to do, to get our tax refund money back from them?Is it legal to get a judgement against anyone before the case/claim is settled?

What do I need to do
Start with NO PHONE CALLS!! Write them a letter detailing the circumstances. Send it Certified RRR. Give them 10 days to respond.
After that time, return here for 'step 2'.
