What is the name of your state? Texas
My wife attends a four year university. She did not go to DSS or disability support services because she wanted to do this with no help. She is a disabled veteran going to school paid for by the VA. She got sick the weekend before finals and had to go to the VA hospital. Her Doc thought it best that she wait on taking her exams. All of her professors but one worked with her. This one was rude obnoxious and just a plain ass. She went in 4 days later and took the exam with another VA student. She scored a C on the exam. She needed just 1.8 points to pass the class for the semester. He told her she was not special and that he did not give points away. She was upset and called a classmate. She was told that this same professor gave the class a extra 15 points the day of the exam because students complained and it caused many to fail the class for the semester. She informed the professor that she knew he gave the other class 15 points but not her. He says he changed the exam and made it easier and felt them two did not need the extra points and that he was not giving it to them period. I questioned how he could say he made the test easier when he only gave it to two people surely you can't judge how easy a test is based on two exams which by the way the grades were 76-83. Can a professor give points based on his whim? She had another disagreement with him over a bogus grade he gave her in which he kept changing the reasons for. What can we do since the school is no help?
