I'm a california dad,my ex is currently taking me back to court for an increase in child support. our children spend aprox 3week periods,3-4 times a year with my parents in MO. they pay for air fare and all expenses.I take them to the airport and pick them up
can I asses this as part of my time when factoring in the hours for child support? If so, can you direct me to where I might find case law regarding this matter?
Thank you for your help

Can you specify what you mean by assessing child support to your designated visitaion time that is spent with your parents? Child support and visitation are two seperate issues, and coutrs usually do not like to intertwine the two seperate issues.
If you mean can you assess your hours of visitaion with the time you give to your parents, no, you are letting your parents take your time, if they want seperate time, they need to file for visitaion.
If your parents are spenidng money for seeing thier grandchildren, that is on them. You cannot cut that off of your child support expenses, since you stated they cover all the costs, and not you. They do not get a break and you do not either just because they cover the costs. That is their choice, and child support is more or less reimbursement for half and less of the amount the other parent spends on the children when they are at their primary residense.
