need a situation here.

let's say it is 10:30 at night and the child is sleeping. unless it was an emergency - i wouldn't wake the child up. if it's 2 in the afternoon and you just want to talk - have at it.

what's the circumstances?

Amber,

My boyfriend called to talk to his son and the mother told him he couldnt talk to his son. The previous day they had a discussion about child support (which he pays) and my boyfried told her he was taking her to court over some issues. SO now she's telling him, he cant speak to his son until they go to court. Its a big crazy mess

In a case like this, your boyfriend will need to address this issue as well in court to have phone privaledges included in the decree. Because no one *has* to do anything unless it's court ordered.

Yes, your boyfriend should be allowed to talk to his son when he calls. But, it doesn't always work that way. Split parents aren't as cooperative as they should be.
