can you help? stupid questions here....

What is the name of your state? Mass

HI
Keeping it short.. my grandad and his 3 kids own a house one half of house is grandfathers the other half is split between his children
2 of the children have passed away

my question is Does the children of the decesed grandfathers children
have any claims on the house? meaning as part of thier mother or fathers estate? neither child who has passed had a will but has children

the remaining child from what im told went and removed the deceased siblings from the deed so that the children or spouses of the deceased have no claims
on the property is this legal??
So will this house soley be this remaining child and his children??
grandfather doesnt want to leave proberty to this child but feels obligated
he would rather sell the home.

im sorry if this makes no sense if you can help me im jbasicly looking for loop holes to help my granddad who just wants to sell or leave the proberty to someone else like the grandchildren.
thanks
the house was deeded or set up to be always a home provided for one of the children who passed.... does the children of this child have any claims for the house? if that makes sense
thanks and please be kind i know this sounds confussing

Questions for you:

Do you know how the original deed had these four people listed? Was it joint tenants with rights of survivorship, tenants in common, or ??

When the two children passed away, did their estates go through probate? Did they die intestate (without a will) or did they have wills? Who were their heirs?
