If you Loose in small claims court, can you protect income if you are a low income resident in CT, on state assistance for medical, heating, partial rent, childcare, and make around $13 an hour, about 35 hours a week and still are barley scrapping by. There are no owned assets to be taken. I have read posts about federal standards of exempt income being around $250 a week, etc that is protected but some states like MA have it as 85% before taxes or something similar. I can not locate any help on CT state websites in this matter.
