Can I sue my ex husband for slander/battery suffered during our marriage, divorce, and still continues? He perjured himself throughout our divorce trial to get liberal visitation time with our daughter and secured a sweet financial settlement for himself. At the same time, he deliberately defaulted on a 2nd mortgage (while we in the divorce process) to ruin my credit; he manipulated neighbors to (eventually) drive a wedge between them and my family; and his harrassment has continued. The court has refused to grant a TRO (a new, specific threat must be made against my life)or stalking order (because it would violate conditions of the divorce parenting plan). Other battery includes making a false complaint against my daughter's counselor, which has not only prevented her from seeing her, it has also prevented her from being able to testify in court. His continued efforts to get court ordered mediation mean more time lost from work, etc. More than any financial compensation, I want him to be held accountable for his actions.

You can sue anyone, for any reason, at any time. However it helps if the case has something to stand on. I won't comment on any of that - I simply don't know.

You might want to talk to a lawyer on that one. If you are indigent there may exist legal help in your locale.
