What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Missouri

A relative is trying to immigrate but I think that they might need a I-601 waiver but I am not sure about how severe the crime would be considered. The crime they committed was in Canada and they were a pardoned for it but I am concerned that they might not be able to immigrate. I'm not sure what the charges brought were but the actual "crime" was attempted suicide with a (idiot)friend's unregistered firearm. The relative was the one that called 911 to report themselves and they were placed in a mental health care center for a few months then released after being pronounced totally rehabilitated. There have been no relapses or other crimes committed by the person. This was probably about 10 or 12 years ago.

So, does anyone know anything about this? I'm trying to help them file, but I don't want to mess it up!

Thanks in advance! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
