My response:

Did you look under the bed ?

Okay, all kidding aside, I know you're serious. This is a lot simpler (and better for you) than you make it seem.

You're going to get your divorce. Your attorney will have the Petition for Divorce published in a newspaper of general circulation in the last known town where he lived.

When he fails to see the publication, the court will give you a Default Judgment of Divorce, and that will be that. Simple.

You'll notice I said "simple". I didn't say inexpensive.

Your attorney, the pleadings, the appearances, the Court's order for publication, and the publication costs itself to the newspaper, are going to cost you "golden time".

So, if you have the funds, go for it. See a Family Law attorney as soon as possible for a Free consultation, where you'll get all the necessary details, fee arrangement and costs estimate.
