What is the name of your state?CA

I asked my Insurance if I could buy my car back they said "No, you must deal with the wrecking yard we sell the car to". Dont I have the option to buy it back legally? Its an 02 wrx that rolled over and was a total.

Thanks

When you were settling your loss you should have let them know you wanted to keep salvage. Since it sounds like your vehicle has already been sold to the salvage yard it is out of your insurance co.'s control. They are correct in telling you that you need to contact the salvage yard.

I did tell them, and we have not settled yet.

If you haven't setled yet then I don't know why they are not letting you keep salvage. I always let someone keep the salvage on a total loss if they want to.
