What is the name of your state? MD
I have been separated for almost 4 years now. My ex and I went to our 'final' divorce proceedings in November 2005. On that day I was awarded half of the equity of our marital home; to be paid within 90 days. The problem is we can't agree on the appraised price of the house; her attorney going low-me going higher of course. In the meantime I'm tens of thousands of dollars in debt and can't afford for this to go any longer. It is my belief that the two attorney involved are "milking" the case for all it is worth. When Iquestion my attorney about what is going on; I always get "Well her attorney is notorious for not answering phone calls", or "I couldn't reach you at the number you gave me", or "Her attorney says he can't reach me....", etc., etc. Everytime we put an issue on the table it is weeks to months before there is any answer. I have written to the Circuit Court where this is being handled, to complain about things-my letter was returned and it stated "All pleas must be entered by your attorney". To me it is a total "raquet" the way the system protects itself to get money out of these cases. I have suffered immensely through this now how do I end this?????????????????????????
