he has never submitted a bill to you? like...


met w/ client, pre-trial prep...1.5 hrs @ $150....$225

if he has not sent you itemized bill's I would certainly request them

Yes I requested this. I received a bill for $1300 that was not itemized.

I know the retainer amount that was paid and have the receipt but nothing for his services beyond that.

Interestingly enough, after going to down to the courthouse to pick up some motion papers so that I can do a telephonic hearing at his motion to withdraw, the clerk suggested I call the judges assistant to give her a heads up regarding my filing. After speaking to the JA, I come to find out that my attorney was supposed to set a date for the motion for temporary relief filed on 8/17/07 after we reached an impasse at our mediation back in Sept......but he never did!

So now he lied saying that court had not scheduled that date yet, he has not provided me with accurate financials, and there has been a failure to communicate on his end.

So now what. I don't want this guy as my attorney anymore, but I want the judge to know all this and don't think he should paid for not doing his job!

arrrrg!!!!! almost that exact thing happened with my attorney- I hate that there are so many attorney's out there who operate in this manner.....


ask him specifically for an itemized bill
