i was in a 60 mph head on collision. the person who hit me
had no insurance.my uninsured motorist offered me 25,00
which was way low considering the dammages. does an attorney
have the right to charge 33% of the total settlement or just the portion he recovered for me?

My response:

He has a "contractual right" to charge you 33 1/3 %, or higher, from every dollar that comes into his office, or into your hands, by way of settlement or judgment pursuant to the contract you signed.
