I was involved in a car accident, where the other party is at fault. I am currently not carrying insurance on my vehicle and was not cited at the scene. I have sustained injuries and have major damage to my vehicle. What do I need to do now, since I have no insurance? I also had a passenger in the vehicle, who is also seeking medical treatment. What can she do to recover her losses?

Both you and your passenger have a claim against the other driver. Was the other driver insured? In what state did this accident occur? Some states have time limits as short as one year within which to file a lawsuit to protect your claim.

The accident happened in Minnesota and yes the other driver does have auto insurance.

Patrick: you are offering both advise and soliciting at the same time. It sounds to me like you just tried to create an attorney client relationship. It is more than than the words you used, it is in the manner that you promote; and even better, your url address has your name at the end.

By the way, why pay anything p/month when most good lawyers handling personal injury claims offer free consulations and then take the case on a contingent fee basis?
