Is the company responsible for damage expenses when an employee is involved in a car accident while running errands for the company in a personal car, not a company car?

I am not positive about that, yet my thoughts are that the company would be liable for the damages you sustained. The reasoning is that you are being directed by them to perform the errands. They knew and agreed for you to perform them in your own car. Now obviously your personal car insurance should be tapped first for the property damage. However, any deductible that you had to pay first should be reimbursed to you by your employer.
