I often can tell old threads on first glance by who has responded. Some members are no longer posting to the forum.

There have been several old threads revived recently by advertisers. It can be best if the person reporting the necroposter also makes a post with a message that the thread is old, to warn others not to add to the thread.

I've gotten into the habit of looking at thread start dates when perusing "New Threads". In the a.m. there are often spammers/necroposters.
