my auto contract was rescinded by the dealer because they couldn't get me financed by any of the lenders they do business with. So, I called and asked what the problem was and was told that it was just a formality that I was financed for the car. I already gave them all the information on the application and they still wanted more info. So, I told them I was going to return the car and was told to keep it. The letter stated that the car was to be brought back immediately to the dealer since it was their ten day notice. So, they took the car off my driveway the next couple of days afterward. The dealer said he repossed the car and that he was going to ruin my credit. How could he ruin my credit when he rescinded the contract and that he couldn't even give me the name of the company financing me or even a loan number??? And also, writting it down as a repo. I only had the car for 13days, not months or years like other so called repo situtations. I need help here in Ca.... Thanks!!!!!!

My response:

Please see a contracts attorney, and one who might specialize in vehicle contracts, concerning an explanation of, and perhaps a lawsuit against the dealership under, the "Rees-Levering Act" - - California Civil Code section 2981, et seq.

Good luck to you.
