North Carolina:
i purchased a used vehicle from a "reliable" car dealership in twown and it came with a one month/1000 mile warranty. i also went the extra step and purchased a two year extended warranty. before the end of the first week, i had to take it back for repairs (engine light came on); after picking up the car, the light came on again within twenty four hours. they had to order a part for it this time so they've had my car for a week. beside the check engine light, i had the check a knocking noice from under the car. i got a call today saying the part had come in and they fixed it (charges were covered under my warranty) but they hadn't fixed the knocking noise because it's not covered under warranty and they want to know if I still want it fixed. Do they not HAVE to fix it? They have had my new (used) car longer than I have! I'm not trying to m ake money here...i just want what is fair. I would sincerely appreciate any advice you can give. THX!
