Hi, I stopped paying for my van this month. I payed since the beginning the maintenance but they wouldn't pay for the defects on the car they said they'll repair when i bought it check engine problem, front crack and power sliding door not functioning or the problem it had with the control arms 2 months ago. They never provided me with the copy of the contract i've signed. Deal was I was paying 10900 for the van because I only have my passport, and that included interest. On january I've asked how much should I pay if I've payed the rest in cash and my surprise was that though I've already payed half of the full amount they've added interests over the full amount with interest they gave for financing so it would extend like a gum. And although i renewed the maintenance for another 6 months, after i complaint about the interests they told me to get another place to review the van if i had any problem and refused to make the repairs they said they would when i signed the paperwork! it seems like they were waiting for the six first months to pass by in order to not make the repeias. Another thing, i guess the most important one Back in july 2015, when i went to buy the van i had to go with my wife as i didn't have a credit card or bank account under my name. In acting of good faith my wife presented bank statements as proof of income. However she never signed any paperwork nor any agreement. i was supposed to pay in cash every 2 weeks. before they let us leave the office with the van they've asked my wife to handle them her debit card to pay for the insurance upfront because they had to do it that way. Then my wife discovered that they debited 200 hundreds every two weeks since then from her bank account with no permission. when i called them and asked them about it they said it was because she is my wife and it makes her the co-buyer and is better to withdarw form her bank account. At first it made sense, however my wife never signed any documentation or any bank agreement, but i decided to keep it that way. After having financial problems and lots of overdraft because of this. This month we decid! ed to stop the payments and make a repossession as soon as we can get another car. She took a close look to her bank statement to give all the merchant's detail in order to block them and discovered that they did card purchases, this means they've copied her debit card numbers someone at the bank said and told my wife to cut her card off and get a new one. no need to block the merchant the lady at the bank said, as they don't have any agreement or at least that's what the bank system says. Is my wife victim of fraud? should we reposses the car? what if they fake he signature? we bought the car in texas and we moved to florida this month. we have no money right now to pay a lawyer, is there a way we can get help? sorry if the way i've told te story is messy.
