What is the name of your state? NH
OK, first let me state this for the record:
I signed a lease a year ago. I signed for it and I should have brought this question up at the time of the signing and I didn't - which makes me a dumb ass. But I'm looking to move out of my lease and I'm looking for loop holes to make it less costly. I realize I owe on the lease - I'm not defaulting - etc... just looking for options.
The sticker price on my car was: $14,305.00 + a package: $70, plus delivery fee: $620 - total cost: $14,995.00.
The official paperwork started the base price @ $15,080 and then added on a acqisition fee:$550, + GAP (which I wanted): $600m + title fee: $190, + $5 for something for a new price of: $16,425.00.
If you ask me, it reads as if the dealer is "double dipping" on fees. Isn't a delivery and acquisition fee the same?? Again - my fault for not bringing this up at the time of signing. But I'm looking at angles to go back to the dealer to get another new car (as this one sucks), and I want to have leverage to say, "you screwed me on the first deal, lets see some breaks here!"... thoughts??
