I live in Indiana. We bought a car that was advertised as all wheel drive. The dealer submitted the loan application with all wheel drive as one of the included options on the vehicle. I changed the rear brake pads and realized it's only front wheel drive. The dealer offered a reimbursement for the difference in Book value, but now we're stuck paying on a car we don't want and never would have bought if they wouldn't have falsely advertised. Do we have any other options we don't want a car without all wheel drive.

You might be able to win a full refund if you are willing to spend a few thousand (that you won't get back) and many months on litigation.

I suggest you figure out how much of a reimbursement it will take to pay down the principle balance to where the sale of the car will cover the balance of the loan, then sell it and pay off the loan and get a car that you want.

And next time you look at a car that is supposed to have all wheel drive (or any other features that you want), do your homework before you sign anything or hand over any money. Get the VIN, photograph the data plate, go on the internet and get it decoded.

If you are buying certain brands that are only a few years old you might even be able to get a copy of the window sticker at:
