Ok I don't know what I can do about this. My 87 Buick Regal has been in the shop getting the engine rebuilt. Only one problem they have had it for over 6 months. At first I said I wasn't in a hurry. I have talked to the mechanic over the last couple of months and he keeps telling me "Oh, in a couple of days it will be ready. Mean while the car has been sitting outside. I normally keep it in the garage in bad weather and I have been paying insurance on a car I can't even drive. Also, I have already paid him for the job. The guy has done work on the car in the past. Is there anything that can be done. I'm never taking my car there again. (Once I get it back!)

Send them a certified letter being nice and stating the facts, as a judge may be reading it.

Ask them for a written reply within X number of days you may want to add that if they do not reply, you will have your car towed else where to have it fixed and see them in court. Or you might want it towed somewhere first as you have stated that you have paid them in full.

Be sure to read the paper that you signed giving them the okay to work on your car first.
