I'm 17 years old and own my own car, I want to sell my car to my freind, but my father wont let me...sense the car is in my name, does he have any say in if I can sell my car or not?

Yes.

Until you are 'legal' (age 18 in most states), any contract that you enter into (as in selling the car) can be voided. And, until you are 18, your parents are legally responsible for your actions.
