Hi,
I would like to know my options.
This is what happened. I called a day before to get an appointment to have my car serviced. I told them brand and model and they told me they do it.
They listed everything to be done in a Work Order and next day I went and drop my car off.
When I came to pick it up, and just as I was handling my ccard, I asked if they had done everything the invoice said. To my surprise, the person at the counter called up the mechanic and the mechanic confirmed he had not done one of the things listed (which costed about $30.00), acting very natural, as if nothing had happened the counter clerk ripped apart the invoice and typed another one. At that point, I was not feeling very confident about the work done, and asked if they had put the sticker with mileage and date for the oil change to what the clerk told me they should have......to my surprise I walked to the vehicle and saw no sticker. At this point I was really upset and decided to questioned what had "really" been done , so the mechanic walked with me and showed me he had change the filter and the air filter and he promised me he had rotated the tires (thing that I can't prove). They gave me a discount and some bs. The worse part is that on top of the $70.00 I paid for an oil change, tire rotation and some brake fluid (they say they replaced)....the "maintenance required" light did not come off.....What should I do?? I am afraid I will have to take the car to the dealer and pay again for the car service. Advice please!
