I BOUGHT A USED CAR OUT OF STATE. THAT WAS ALMOST TWO MONTHS AGO. THE SELLER IS REFUSING TO TURN OVER THE TITLE.
HE WAS PAID IN FULL. HE KEEPS GIVING ME THE RUN-A-ROUND,"THE BANK LOST IT, THEY HAVEN'T SENT IT TO ME YET" AND SO ON.
WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP I NEED TO TAKE TO GET THE TITLE?

My response:
Tell the seller to go to the bank to have them obtain a duplicate title. Tell him if you don't get clear title within 15 days, you'll sue him for the amount you paid (in the State where the sale was made). Make sure you bring all of your receipts and other proofs of sale.
