What is the name of your state? TN

I filed a chapter 13 in 2004. I listed my car loan on the bankruptcy and the trustee allowed me to keep the car and continue making payments. Lower payments but for a year longer than original loan. Bottom line finance company got their money. Even tho my bankruptcy is for 36 months and the payments were supposed to last that long car is paid off early due to additional money paid in and a couple of creditors not filing claims.

My question is, should I have any trouble getting the title from the lender now that the car is paid off.

Thanks in advance

just and update in case anyone has the same type question. I talked to the lender and they said as long as the secured portion was paid off that I would eventually get the title, but he would not really give me any information except to say it most likely would not be mailed to me, but to my attorney or the trustees office. He suggested I speak to the trustees office

I spoke with the trustees office and said that I would get my title, and that the lender could send it now, but a lot wait until the bankruptcy is discharged to send it.

Thanks for the update. I just re-read my post. I meant to say that I don't see why you WOULDN'T. This is the 2nd time that I forgot the NOT part. I need a nap. Sorry about the confusion that I caused. I'm surprised that no one corrected me sooner.

Also, the updates do help people, so it is appreciated.
