What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ohio

my car was broken into while in the tow lot. Are they responsible to fix the damage(window) and what was stolen?

Not unless you can prove that an employee of the lot, under the direction of his employer, committed the crime.

OR that the tow yard failed to meet the minimum level of care required...(that's not gonna happen)
