Our '99 Honda broke down during our Xmas vacation 300 mi from home. As a result of that, We had to rent a car to get home and return during the New Year long weekend to pick up the car. This mishap not only ruined both our holiday vacations but also incurred 2 nights of hotel charge, 4-day car-rental, and one-day of missing work/pay. In addition, we had to drive through the major snow storm on New Year eve to bring the car home. Honda agrees to reimburse me for the repair cost only, but not the other expenses directly resulted from this incidence. Do I have a case? Has anybody gone through similar situation and was able to recuperate all or some of the loss in addition to the "covered" cost per the warranty? Any comments are appreciated.
