What is the name of your state? CA

I was in an accident with a rental car. Carfax does not show that the car was involved in an accident. Now the car has been resold to someone in a different state.

How do I remedy this? I think its fraudulent for the rental car company to not have reported this, and then sell the car to someone.

There is no requirement that a vehicle involved in an accident has that info reported to Carfax. The info is supplied voluntarily by various states and insurance companies. The Carfax FAQ even states not all vehicle involved in accidents will be listed. There is nothing you can do.
