I'm from New york (not new york city).

I'm 26 now but believe I have a strong suit for wrongful diagnosis, mistreatment, mental anguish, racial discrimination and even perhaps torture during my childhood/teen years when I was in special education.

My question is, if I proceed a case against the school board could I take it to the courts after all these years? I believe it's been 9 years since I was in that institution?

I may have further questions down the line if I receive responses.

You have no case...move on with your life - seek counseling.

Zig is correct. You have NO case... however, your admissions in this thread do go towards explaining your incorrect posts in those threads where you tried to give 'advice'.....

The statute of limitations for filing a civil suit in New York is, I believe, 5 years after a victim turns 18. This is true even in cases of sexual abuse of a minor (although the New York legislature has been trying to get the SOL extended to 10 years after 18 for sexual abuse cases - so far without luck).
